" Maurice " and Barbara resided together in Greensboro, Maryland and they had 4 children together. Barbara was a 1951 graduate of Greensboro High School. She was a secretary for the North Caroline High School guidance department for 23 years retiring in 1993. He graduated from North Caroline High School in 1961 and from Goldey Beacom Business College in Wilmington, De. He then served in the Army Reserves and worked briefly for Agrico Chemical Company, covering territory in western Maryland and Pennsylvania. " Buck " was first married to " Peggy Altfather " with whom he had two children. She was born the daughter of Nevin Charles and Dolly Altfather. " Pfc. Nevin Charles Altfather ", " Peggy's " dad, was "Killed In Action" during World War II during the Battle of Kesternich, Germany. " Buck " and " Peggy " were later divorced. " Buck " was married second to " Nancy Conner Porter " whose parent's names, and dates are currently unknown. They moved to Salisbury, Maryland and " Buck " became a sales associate with Sherman & Associates Real Estate from 1967 to 1986 in Salisbury. In 1986 they moved to Trappe, Maryland while managing the Salisbury real estate franchise of O'Connor Piper and Flynn locally called Porter and Associates in Salisbury, Maryland. In 1989, they moved to a town near Salisbury, Mardela Springs, Maryland. During this time the real estate company franchise changed to Prudential, under the local name " Porter and Associates " - Prudential of Salisbury. He lived there until 1997, when he moved into Salisbury, proper. The company named changed one last time to Long and Foster, where he and his wife Nancy returned to real estate sales and moved away from management. As an associate broker " Buck " and his wife Nancy began working as a sales team for Long & Foster and became well known for their successful marketing of historic homes, farms and waterfront properties. He became a member of the Founders Club in 2003, selling over $15 million in properties. " Buck " and his wife were recognized as the top sales team in Salisbury's Long & Foster office in 2008. He moved his residence one last time, in 2002, to an antique log cabin in Tyaskin, Maryland. " Buck " served on the Maryland Association of Realtors Executive Committee from 1977 to 1980 and as president of the Maryland Association of Realtors in 1981. He became chairman of the Maryland Association of Realtors Professional Standards and Ethics Committee from 1983 through 1985 and continued to serve on the Public Standards & Ethics Committee for the Coastal Association of Realtors. " Buck " was also a cancer survivor. He was awarded the 2007 Spirit of Survivorship award from the Wellness Community of Delmarva, the organization he helped start years earlier. He was undergoing Chemotherapy at the time. Despite not being able to speak or even stand very well, he spoke of optimism to a packed banquet hall of nearly three-hundred cancer survivors, cancer fighters, and guests. " Raymond 'Buck' Hursey Porter, Jr. ( 38 ) " preceded his wife in passing away at the age of 64 on April 6, 2008 at his home in Tyaskin with his family near. He was cremated. " Diane " first worked as a clerk with the Delaware Motor Vehicle Division and then stayed at home to raise her two sons. She also worked part time with the Delaware Technical College (Terry Campus) as a secretary. After her children were of school age " Diane " started working full time with the Department of Public Instruction as a Secretary in Dover, Delaware from where she eventually retired. She and Russ were divorced on May 21, 1992 and are both living in rural Dover, Delaware. Both of their children were born in Kent General Hospital in Dover. " Russ " had two other children after this marriage: Kayla Grace Pickett and Kara Virginia Pickett. " Diane " was then married second to " Lee Sullenberger " who was born on October 2, 1958 the son of Gene Arnold and Mary Senior Sullenberger. Lee had two children previous to this marriage, Laura and Karen Sullenberger. " Great Sadness " came upon this family when her son Chistopher Scott Pickett ( 100 ) passed away in his apartment in Baltimore, Maryland due to a heart attack on April 4, 2021 at the age of 45 years and 22 days. He was interred in the Old Drawyer's Cemetery, Odessa, Delaware next to his Grandfather " John Earnest Pickett, Jr. " " Diane " and " Lee " are both now retired and reside in rural Dover, Delaware. 101. After their marriage they resided near Federalsburg, Maryland. Together they had 1 child and are now divorced. " Karen " then was married second to " Bruce 'Joe Ben' Morris " on February 5, 1988 in Seaford, Delaware. Joe Ben was born the son of Lacey David and Evelyn Estelle Morgan Morris on May 8, 1948 in Milford, Delaware. After residing in Seaford, Delaware for many years they now reside in Smithfield, Virginia They have no children together and Joe Ben has children from a previous marriage. " Karen " was employed as a secretary and Joe Ben in automotive maintenance.

Soon after high school " Chris " joined the 153rd Military Police Company of the Delaware National Guard where he proudly served for 12 years. He was awarded numerous decorations and citations. His unit was activated into fulltime military service during " Operation Spring and Enduring Freedom " serving with his unit in Saudi Arabia from 2002 thru 2003. He was never married and had no children. He worked in an online position and " enjoyed the city life " where he resided in a one-bedroom apartment in Baltimore, Maryland. " Chris " was one of those few people that when someone met him they instantly liked him ..... even though he had led a personal troubled life ..... He was known to buy food for people and their families while in Baltimore that never paid him back ..... He graduated from West Chester State University in West Chester, Pennsylvania in the spring of 2002 with a degree in teaching. In August, 2002 he started his teaching career at "Woodbridge High School" in Bridgeville, Delaware. In 2007 he accepted a teaching position at "Lake Forest High School" near Harrington, Delaware. While teaching at Woodbridge " Ryan " met and became engaged to " Tara Buemi ". On July 15, 2006 they were married at the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Georgetown, Delaware. Tara was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Buemi. She is a 1998 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown and a 2002 graduate of the University of Delaware. In 2007 " Ryan " accepted a teaching position at " Lake Forest High School " near Harrington, Delaware. After the birth of their son Landon (125) Tara became a stay-at-home Mom. " Tara " returned to teaching in the fall of 2018 and also in 2018 " Ryan " accepted a teaching position at the Central Middle School in Dover, Delaware.
