The following below list is provided in the memory of those who served in Delaware Units during the " Civil War " and " Gave Their All " to their State and Country !The
" United States Civil War "
occurred
" April 12, 1861 ~ thru ~ May 9, 1865 "
( 4 years, 3 weeks and 6 days ) !Many of the below men came from other states such as " Pennslyvania, New Jersey, and Maryland " and are therefore, of course, not from " Delaware ". They did, however, serve in Delaware Infantry Regiments and are included on this list.
There are personal " Online Memorial's " for each of these honored men below that were created for them by using the " Find A Grave Website ". On the " Majority " of the online memorials you will see a small biography for each soldier which may include:
Parent's, Grandparent's & Sibling's Names,
where & when they were born,
where they grew up,
when & where they enlisted in the service,
the military unit they were part of,
" AND "
where and how they actually died during the war !There are also " Currently " many " Online Memorial's " that state in the " Cemetery/Memorial Column " that a record for a Soldier's place of interment is " Currently Being Researched ! "
If you know where any of them are interred please send me an " email " at " russpickde@comcast.net " and let me know so that I can create an online memorial for them and get their record below updated !
The below listing is just a small way
of making sure
these Delaware soldiers that
" Gave Their All "" ARE REMEMBERED !

Chris has provided the most help
concerning the Delaware Soldiers & Sailors !Chris has :
Tracked down where many of the Delaware Soldiers and Soldiers who resided in states other than Delaware are interred ... Researched many of their actual dates of death ... And has found personal things about many of them as well ... Kevin is a historian at the Andersonville National Historic Site, who has been very helpful with the photos and information on the Delaware Soldiers interred at Andersonville.
Ken has helped with not only the Delaware Soldiers but all the soldiers interred at the Antietam National Cemetery. He has transfered many of the Delaware records that he created to me so that I could update their bios and he also spent a lot of time and effort taking and adding photos of their headstones.
