By: Russell S. Pickett

The earliest known member of my Mettler (Metler) family tree is my Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather "Johann George Mettler (1)" who was born in April 2, 1696 presumably in Holland. Efforts to establish who his parents were have been futile up to this point.
For ease of identification within this document each family member has a number that is referenced through this entire document.   That is, "Johann" is number (1), since he is the oldest known family member, his first child Marie is number (2), his 2nd child Johann is number (3), and so on.....   An " * " after the family member's number denotes that I have further information about them displayed later in this document.   The family member's whose names are shown in "Marroon" letters are my direct ancestors and other family members names are shown in "Purple".
Within this document I also use the "Find A Grave" website which links to where each family member who has passed away is interred and displays an individual online memorial for them.   You can actually also leave notes and flowers for each person if you'd like.   If you'd like to access the "Find A Grave" site to learn more about this project and build memorials for your loved ones please click below:

Anyone that has information or questions on my Mettler family line please feel free to "e-mail me".   Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the below "Mettler Family History".
