      The above photo of the "Shepherd Family" was taken in ca. 1946.       John (1) was born in the early 1700's.   The name of his parents, date of his birth, & place of his birth is unknown at this time.   He married "Margaret _____", whose last name & other personal information is currently unknown.
      They first appear in East Amwell Township prior to 1750.   John's (1) grave has not been found, however, Margaret is buried in the Larison's Corner Cem. in Larison.   She died on November 21, 1800.   It is know that John (1) preceded Margaret in death since she married 2nd a "George William Wambough", a widower with children, who lived on 212 acres on the road southeast out of Linvale.   George Wambough also preceded her in death since it is recorded that she married 3rd a "Andrew Bearder" of Amwell Township sometime prior to 1780.   They lived on a farm east of Locktown which is still standing.   Andrew Bearder & Margaret had one son named Jacob.   John (1) & Margaret are believed to have had 5 children. 2. *Richard Shepherd  -  b. ??, d.cir. 1820

Family Notes: Peter (5) was believed to have moved to Middlesex County.   Margaret (6) is believed to have married a man named "Kemple".   A Margaret Kemple appears below with John (7) & according to records a Kemple Family lived next to George Wambough noted above.   I have no other information on John (3) or Henry (4).

      Richard (2) was born the 1st child & 1st son of John (1) and Margaret (_____) Shepherd & was believed to have been born in the mid-1700's.   He married "Mary Servis" (or "Servase") whose personal information is unknown.
      Richard (2) appears as having a farm in Amwell Township in the 1780 tax records.   He moved from that farm to a 60 acre farm in the Harbourton area shortly after 1780.   He died ca. 1820 & is interred in the Harbourton Church Cem.   along with his wife. However, their headstones are separated. Together they had 7 children.   7. *John Shepherd  -  b. Mar 17, 1779, d.       John (7) was born the 3rd child & 3rd son of Richard (2) and Mary (Servis) Shepherd on March 17, 1779.   He married "Margaret Sherred" who was born the dau of John and Elizabeth (Fleming) Sherred on January 17, 1772.   They lived in the vicinity of east Locktown strangely close to Andrew Bearder after their marriage.
      John (7) and Margaret joined the Baptist Church in Locktown in 1818.   Joining with them was one Margaret Kemple (6? - see above).   John (7) became a deacon & trustee of the church & was also noted as a local school board official.
      Margaret preceded her husband in death on September 5, 1834 at the age of 62 & she was interred in the old Locktown Baptist Church Cem., west of the town, sited by a stream.   John (7) died on June 8, 1860 at the age of 81 & was interred next to his wife.   A metal marker of unknown origin graces the grave of John (7). Jacob Shepherd, (13)

      Jacob, (13) was born the 7th child & 6th son of Richard (2) and Mary (Servis) Shepherd.   His birth date is unknown at this time.   He married, however, his wife's name is also unknown at this time.   Jacob died in 1824 & together with his wife had 4 children.

Family Notes: Harriet (15) married "Daniel Blackwell" on October 16, 1841 & is interred in Pennington. Sarah (16) married "Lou Baldwin" on August 1, 1838. Nothing further is known of Dictator (17) or Jerome (18).

      John (14) was born the only known child of John (7) and Margaret (Sherred) Shepherd in 1808.  He married "Sarah Aller" in the Kingwood Baptist Church in Locktown on October 20, 1834 & was married by the Rev. James Wm Weff.  She was the daughter of Jon Peter and Mary (Woolverton) Aller.  (see the "Woolverton Family History")  They lived on a farm near Frenchtown.  John passed away on April 2, 1879 and was interred in the old section of the Frenchtown Cem.  Sarah passed away in 1891 and was interred next to her husband.  They had two known sons. 19. *Peter Aller Shepherd  -  b. Dec 17, 1844, d. Sep 10, 1921

      Peter (19) was born the only known child of John Shepherd, II (14) & Sarah (Aller) Shepherd on December 17, 1844 in Frenchtown, NJ.   He married "Corinda Runyan" (See the "Runyan Family History") on September 29, 1868.   Corinda was born on October 17, 1846, the daughter of Alvah and Ann (Apgar) Runyan.   After their marriage they resided in Stockton, NJ.
      Peter (19) worked with the Railroad during his lifetime at the Stockton Station (Still Standing in 1992).   It is believed that he sold tickets.   Corinda preceded Peter (19) in death on October 25, 1881 at the age of 35 & was buried in Stockton.   Peter (19) suffered an appendix attack and was taken to the Hospital in Trenton.   There he stated that he would only allow Dr. Best of Rosemont to operate on him and Dr. Best was notified.   Prior to Dr. Best's arrival Peter's (19) appendix burst causing his death on September 10, 1921 at the age of 76.   He was interred in Riverview Cem., Lambertville, NJ.   The body of his wife, Corinda, was then dis-interred & moved from Stockton & re-interred beside her husband in Lambertville.   They had 4 Children. 20. *Alvah Runyan Shepherd  -  b. Alvah Runyan Shepherd, (20)

      Alvah, (20) was born the 1st child & 1st son of Peter Aller (19) and Corinda (Runyan) Shepherd on August 9, 1871 in Stockton.   He married "Susan Alice Trout".   Susan's dates and personal information are unknown at this time.   After their marriage Alvah (20) and Susan moved to Riverside, CA in ca. 1906.   Alvah (20) died in 1959 & is interred in Riverside, CA. however which cemetery is unknown.   Together they had 4 known children.

Charles Alvater Shepherd, (22)

      Charles, (22) was born the 3rd child & 3rd son of Peter Aller (19) and Corinda (Runyan) Shepherd on June 24, 1875 in Stockton, NJ.   He married "Sadie Rodman Wilson" on December 2, 1902 & they settled in Elizabeth, NJ.   Sadie's parent's names are currently unknown.
      Charles died on April 12, 1959 in Elizabeth at the age of 83 & was buried in the Rosemont Cem. in Rosemont, NJ.   His wife, Sadie, died on January 10, 1978 also in Elizabeth & is interred next to her husband.   They had 2 children:

" Harry Jacob Shepherd, Sr. "

      Harry (23) was born the 4th child & 4th son of Peter Aller (19) and Corinda (Runyan) Shepherd on July 17, 1877 in Stockton, NJ.   He married "Amanda Carver Howell" ( see the "Howell Family History" ) who was born on October 3, 1883 in Trenton the daughter of George Edward and Rachel (Carver) Howell.   After their marriage they resided in Lambertville, NJ during their lifetimes.   He & his wife were members of the Methodist Church in Lambertville.
      Harry (23) worked in the Pottery Factory that use to be on North Union Street in Lambertville.   He served in the United States Army during World War I as a Private of the 43rd U.S. Volunteer Infantry from N.J.   His wife Amanda worked at home as a mother & homemaker.
      Harry (23) was taken to the Hospital in Trenton for an operation on his Prostate.   During the operation he died on May 22, 1951 at the age of 73.   His wife Amanda died on July 14, 1969 in their home on 54 Elm Street in Lambertville at the age of 85.   Both Harry (23) and Amanda are buried in the Riverview Cem., Lambertville. " Mary Corinda Shepherd "

Mary Corinda Shepherd, (34)

      Mary, (24) is the 1st child & only daughter of Charles Alvater (22) & Sadie Rodman (Wilson) Shepherd & was born on December 8, 1903 in Flemington.   She married "Thaddeus Joseph Forman" on April 28, 1923 in the East Baptist Church Rectory in Elizabeth, NJ.   He was the son of John & Minnie Irene (Schmidt) Forman & was born on February 24, 1904.
      It is known that Thaddeus is deceased, however it is currently unknown where he is interred.   Mary (34) passed away on January 18, 1999 in Elizabeth, NJ and is interred in the Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.   They had one child.

" Marvin Charles Shepherd "

Marvin Charles Shepherd, (35)

      Marvin (35) is the 2nd child & only son of Charles Alvater (22) & Sadie Rodman (Wilson) Shepherd & was born on June 2, 1911 in Flemington.   He married "Augusta Schwab" on June 22, 1946 in the First Presbyterian Church in Roselle, NJ.   Augusta was born the daughter of Otto Charles & Elizabeth Lily (Kress) Schwab on August 1, 1908 in Brooklyn, NY.
      Marvin (35) worked for and retired from New Jersey Bell.   He had done extensive research on the Shepherd & Runyan families & is the main source of information for this Family History.
      In 1991 Marvin (35), who was a known "Runyan Family Historian", was called to review the personal effects of a man who had recently passed away in Pennington, NJ which contained some "Runyan Family" information.   In this man's effects was a copy of an original deed dated March 5, 1712 between Daniel Coxe and "Thomas Runyan" and his brother "John Runyon".   It was given to Marvin (35) and he presented it to the Museum in Hopewell, NJ.   He also sent this author (Russ Pickett) a copy of the original.   ( see "Thomas Runyan" for more information )
      Marvin (35) also, along with his cousin Richard (42), officially installed the U.S. Govt. Revolutionary War Veterans Stone in Baptistown.   This stone is still decorated each Veteran's Day by the County.
      Marvin (35) & Augusta had no children & she is deceased.   Marvin resided in Elizabeth, NJ with his sister Mary (34) until her passing. Marvin (35) passed away on August 29, 2000 in Elizabeth, NJ and was interred in the Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.

Peter Aller Shepherd, (36)

      Peter, (36) is the 1st child & 1st son of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd & was born on May 27, 1903 in Lambertville.   He was named after his Grandfather Peter Aller Shepherd (19).   He was married three times.   He 1st married "Rose Della Congilio" in May, 1922 in Lambertville.   Rose was born the daughter of Fransico & Della (_____) Congilio on August 26, 1897 in Lambertville.
      Peter (36) and Rose had three children together.   She worked as a Homemaker while raising her children.   Rose died on February 21, 1936 of Heart Failure in Titusville.   She was 38 years old.   She was interred in the St. John's Cem., Lambertville, NJ.
      Peter (36) then married a second time to "Frieda Elias" during the summer of 1937.   Her parents and dates are currently unknown.   They were later divorced.   Peter (36) then married a third and final time to "Anna Mary Powers" on September 1, 1948 in Trenton.   Anna was born the daughter of Margaret (Cleary) Powers on December 16, 1906.   Her father’s name is currently unknown.   Anna had four children previous to this marriage - Joan, Gerald, James & Joseph Powers.
      Peter (36) worked with the Pennslyvania & Penn Central Railroads for 47 years as a Steam Engine & Diesel Locomotive Foreman.   He retired in 1969.   He was a member of the Moose Lodge & the Manor Clark Social Club.   Peter died on August 30, 1978 at the of 75 in the St. Francis Medical Center of Heart Failure.   At the time of his death he was residing in Ewing Township & was interred in the Ewing Presbyterian Church Cemetery.   Peter's (36) third wife Anna died on February 5, 1985 of Heart Failure and was interred next to her husband.

" Ida May Shepherd "

Ida May Shepherd, (37)

      Ida, (37) is the 2nd child & 1st daughter of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd & was born on July 14, 1904 in Lambertville.   She was given the middle name of her Aunt Edith May Howell.   ( see the "Howell Family History" )   She married (1st) "Earl Holcombe" son of Walter & Annie (_____) Holcombe & (2nd) to "Thomas H. Werner" who was born on November 27, 1907 & died on April 3, 1991.   Thomas' parents are unknown at this time.
      Ida (37) passed away on April 5, 1997 and was interred with her parents in Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ.   She didn't have any children during either marriage.

" Edith Elizabeth Shepherd "

      Edith (28) was born the 3rd child & 2nd dau of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd on July 13, 1905 at 264 North Union Street in Lambertville.   She was named for her Aunt "Edith" May Howell ( see the "Howell Family History" ).   She married Russell Stout ( see the "Stout Family History" ) on February 21, 1923 in Elkton, Md. Russell was born the son of John Nelson and Minerva J. (Kroesen) Stout on February 8, 1903 also on North Union Street in Lambertville, NJ.
      Russell and Edith (38) played together since they only lived two houses apart on N. Union Street.   They lived in multiple houses, all in Lambertville during their marriage.   Their last home being on 22 Elm Street which is right around the corner from where they lived as children.
      Edith (38) worked at home as a mother & homemaker & later as a clerk in a store on Union Street in Lambertville.   She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an avid member of the Patriotic Order of American's Lodge (P.O.A.).   She served one year as the National President of the P.O.A.   Her husband Russell worked in the Union Paper Mill in New Hope, Pa. until his death.   He was a member of the Top Rock Club, enjoyed shad fishing on the Delaware River & was an avid baseball player in his younger years.   His baseball team mates included his brother Edgar S. Stout & Edith's brother Harry Jacob Shepherd, Jr. (31).   Russell died on December 8, 1965 of a Heart Attack at the age of 62 after 42 years of marriage.   He was interred in the Riverview Cem., Lambertville.
      Edith (38) was found stricken in her home by friends on Thursday, January 20, 1994 and taken to the Doylestown, PA Hospital where she died later that night of a stroke at the age of 88.   She was interred in the Riverview Cemetery next to her husband on Monday, January 24.   Together they had 5 children. 48.  Vivian Ida Stout  -  b. Jul 14, 1924, d. Apr 10, 1934

Harry Jacob Shepherd, Jr., (41)

      Harry, (41) was born the 6th child & 3rd son of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd on November 28, 1912 in Lambertville.   He married "Olive Howell" on June 17, 1944 in the Cenetary United Methodist Church in Lambertville.   She was born on October 4, 1912 the daughter of Theodore & Elisa Jane (Schaeffer) Howell in Wilmington, DE.
      Harry (41) attended all of his schooling in Lambertville.   After their marriage they continued to live either in Lambertville or the area.   They first resided at 249 N. Union Street, then moved to 57 Elm Street, after the flood of 1955.   They later moved to a house on the road between Lambertville and Hopewell and eventually returned to Lambertville to a home on Jefferson Street.
      Harry (41) worked in the office at Pennshale Brick of New Hope, Diamond Silver as a Plater & in the office & worked as the Office Manager of Lewis Concrete in New Hope until his retirement.   Harry (41) also served as the mayor of Lambertville for 16 years from 1952 through 1968.   His wife Olive stayed at home & raised their son & worked as a housewife.
      Harry (41) passed away on his birthday, November 28, 2001 and was cremated.   His ashes were interred in the Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ.   Olive was later moved to the Fountains nursing home in Pennsauken, NJ area where she passed on January 14, 2005.   She was also cremated and interred next to her husband.   They had one son together & Olive had 3 children previous to their marriage, Howard, William & Janice Van Sant.
60. *Harry Jacob Shepherd III  -  b. May 13, 1945
Family Notes:   William Van Sant currently resides in Cornwells Heights, NJ.   Janice Van Sant married a "Harris" and resides in rural Lambertville, NJ.   No further information is available concerning Howard Van Sant.

Richard Charles Shepherd, (42)

      Richard, (42) is the 7th child & 4th son of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd & was born on May 7, 1925 in Lambertville.   He married "Janet Reade" whose personal information is unknown at this time.   After their marriage they first resided in Lambertville and later moved to Pa.
      Richard (42), like Marvin (35), has done extensive research in the Shepherd Family Tree.   He & his wife reside in Yardley, Pa.   They had 3 children.

Gladys Virginia Shepherd, (43)

      Gladys, (43) is the 8th child & 4th daughter of Harry Jacob, Sr. (23) and Amanda Carver (Howell) Shepherd & was born on December 14, 1927 in Lambertville.   She married (1st) to "Alan Rorer" & (2nd) to "Charles Oliver".   Neither husbands parents names are known at this time.   She reside in Nantucket Island, Ma.   She had one child with Alan Rorer.

Family Notes: Sandra (64) was adopted by Charles Oliver & she currently resides in Ma. She has never been married.

Irene Rodman Forman, (44)

      Irene, (44) was born the only child of Thaddeus Joseph & Mary Corinda (Shepherd) Forman (34) on August 11, 1925 in Elizabeth, NJ.   She married "Harold Melville Kuhn" on October 2, 1948 in the Third Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth.   He is the son of Walter Alexander & Dorothy (Lawrence) Kuhn & was born on January 24, 1924 in Jersey City.   Together they had 2 Children.

Elizabeth Amanda Shepherd, (45)

      Elizabeth "Betty", (45) was born the 1st child & 1st dau of Peter Aller (36) & Rose Della (Congilio) Shepherd on December 13, 1922 in Lambertville.   She married "Richard Jesse Smith" on April 5, 1947 in the St. John's Rectory in Lambertville. Richard was born the son of Robert Henry & Lillian Edith (Plant) Smith on October 23, 1920 in Trenton.   "Betty" (45) worked as a Secretary for the State of NJ and her husband Richard was employed as a Mechanical Repairman for Otis Elevator.   They are both currently retired, never had any children and reside in Ewing.

Donald Peter Shepherd, (46)

      Donald, (46) was born the 2nd child & only son of Peter Aller (36) & Rose Della (Congilio) Shepherd on November 20, 1924 in Lambertville.   He married "Dorothy Joyce Carlton" on March 25, 1950 in Ewing.   Dorothy was born the dau of Arthur & Maud Emma (Wright) Carlton on November 11, 1923 in Trenton.
      Donald (46) worked as an Electrician & Diesel Locomotive Shop Foreman for Pennslyvania Railroad, Penn Central Railroad & Conrail.   His wife Dorothy worked as a homemaker.   Together they have 3 children and reside in Ewing.

Marjorie Marie Shepherd, (47)

      Marjorie, (47) was born the 3rd & last Child & 2nd dau of Peter Aller (36) & Rose Della (Congilio) Shepherd on October 2, 1926 in Trenton.   She married "Daniel Kondor" in November, 1954 in Miami, FL.   Daniel was born the son of Michael & Yolanda (Sorodi) Kondor on October 27, 1929 in Trenton.
      Marjorie (47) worked as a Ceramic Decorator and Daniel was a Machinist for the Penn Central Railroad.   Daniel died on January 27, 1976 of a Blood Clot in his Brain at the age of 46 years.   He was interred in the Ewing Presbyterian Church Cem., Ewing. Marjorie died that same year on October 29, 1976 in Trenton of a Stroke.   She was interred next to her husband.   Together they had 3 children.

      Virginia "Ginny" (49) was born the 2nd child & 2nd dau of Russell and Edith Elizabeth (Shepherd) Stout (38) on July 25, 1925 in Lambertville. She married "John Ernest Pickett, Jr." ( see the "Pickett Family History" ) on August 24, 1946 in St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Lambertville. He is the son of John Ernest, Sr. and Winnie Ann (Bacon) Pickett and was born on April 21, 1924 in New Hope, Pa.
      Ginny (49) attended all of her schooling in Lambertville. After their marriage they moved to Lancaster, Pa. so that John could go to college. After his graduation they moved to High Street in Odessa, De. due to John obtaining a job as a teacher in Warner Junior High School in Wilmington, De. Later they moved into a home that was built by John on Cantwell Avenue, also in Odessa in 1953. John later became a principal & is now retired.
      While her children were of pre-school age she spent time home raising them. She also worked at multiple jobs, spending the most time waitressing & as a dress sales person. Together they had 2 children. 73. *John Ernest Pickett III  -  b. Feb 28, 1948

Joyce Elizabeth Stout, (50)

      Joyce, (50) was born the 3rd child & 3rd daughter of Russell & Edith Elizabeth (Shepherd) Stout (38) on April 1, 1928 in Lambertville, NJ. She married "Alfred James Buchanan, Jr." on May 1, 1948 at 74 Delavan Street in Lambertville, NJ. He is the son of Alfred James, Sr. & Carolyn (Hixson) Buchanan and was born on April 13, 1924 in Lambertville, NJ.
      Joyce (50) attended Lambertville 3rd Ward School on the corner of Perry & Main Street through the 8th grade (This building is now a Senior Citizen Center (1994)). She then attended Lambertville High School on the hill from where she graduated.
      Joyce (50) worked as a homemaker, raising her two children and then helped to raise her grandson Andrew (98). She & her husband "Jim" lived outside of Lambertville, NJ. Her husband worked for the State of New Jersey & is now retired. Joyce (50) passed away on January 1, 1995 at her home at 7:30 a.m. after a battle with Lou Gerhig’s disease (ALS) ( "I miss & love you Aunt Joyce" ). She was interred in the Riverview Cemetery in Lambertville on January 4th. Her husband Jim still lives in their home outside of Lambertville. Together they had two children who were both born in Doylestown, Pa.

Beverly Catherine Stout, (52)

      Beverly "Buzzy", (52) was born the 5th child & 5th daughter of Russell & Edith Elizabeth (Shepherd) Stout (38) on October 10, 1931 in Trenton. She married "Frank Voorhees" on September 12, 1959 in the Cenetary Methodist Church in Lambertville. He is the son of Frank O. & Edna (Titus) Voorhees & was born on September 12, 1932 in Ringoes.
      They lived in Hopewell. Her husband Frank worked as an insurance salesman. They were divorced in November, 1980. She works as a waitress in Hopewell & still resides there. They had no children. Frank has since remarried & had one child by a previous marriage, Mark Voorhees.

Harry Jacob Shepherd, III, (60)

      Harry "Butch", (60) is the only child of Harry Jacob, Jr. (41) & Olive (Howell) Shepherd & was born on May 13, 1945 in Doylestown, Pa. He married "Patricia Edith Pierson" on July 6, 1968 in the Sergeantsville Methodist Church in Sergeantsville. Pat was born the daughter of Donald Robert & Catherine Lawrence (Smith) Pierson on August 31, 1944 in Trenton.
      They both work as Chiropractor's in their own office & they reside on Jefferson Street in Lambertville, NJ. Together they have two children.

      Linda, (65) was born the 1st child & 1st daughter of Harold Melville & Irene Rodman (Forman) Kuhn (44) on January 14, 1953 in Elizabeth. She married "William Tyson Edwards" on June 4, 1977 in the Alliance Church in Cranford. He is the son of John Taylor Edwards & Martha Mae Majors & was born on January 28, 1952 in San Antonio, TX. Together they have 2 children.

She 1st married "Nicholas Maisto" who was born the son of Hamlet & Raffella (_____) Maisto on November 25, 1948 in Trenton. They had three children together and were divorced on May 24, 1987.
      Donna (67) then married "Frank Mark Jones" on June 25, 1989 in Ewing. He was born the son of Donald & Katherine (Cooper) Jones on December 2, 1959 in Trenton. They reside in Ewing and have no children together. Donna (67) is employed as an MRI Technician and Frank as a Maintenance Foreman.

He married "Tanuja Kaushik" on October 5, 1985 in Ewing. Tanuja was born the dau of Chandra & Shanta (Bhardwaj) Kaushik on March 31, 1959 in New Delhi, India.
      Craig (68) worked as a machinist with Conrail and is currently disabled. Tanuja is a homemaker. Together they have 3 children and reside in Ewing.

Kim (71) is employed as a Pipefitter for Conrail. He resides in Ewing and has one child with Leona and he was born in Trenton.

      Kris, (72) was born the 3rd & last child & 3rd son of Daniel & Marjorie Marie (Shepherd) Kondor (47) on December 29, 1954 in Miami, FL. He married "Lory Lynn Mitchell" on November 21, 1991 in Mancillo, Mexico. Lory was born the dau of James R. & Martha (Schrader) Mitchell on September 17, 1958 in Trenton. Lory was previously married to Mark Scannella with whom she had two children, Matthew & Jennifer Scannella. Kris (72) is employed as a Machinist for Conrail and Lory works as a Human Resource Manager. They reside in Ewing and have one child together and he was born in Trenton.

      John, (73) was born the 1st child & 1st son of John Ernest, Jr. & Emma Virginia (Stout) Pickett (49) on February 29, 1948 in Lancaster. He has been married twice. John (73) 1st married "Susan Walker Hall" on August 30, 1970 in the Church of The Messiah in Gwynedd. Susan was born the dau of Herbert Douglas & Margery (Buehler) Hall on October 27, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. The marriage ended as the result of a divorce on September 27, 1979. John (73) then married "Tammy Lee Rogers" on May 21, 1983 in St. Paul's Methodist Church in Odessa, De. Tammy was born on Dec 28, 1957 in Dover, DE. & is the dau of Richard Gordon & Bernice Elizabeth (Burris) Rogers.
      John (73) attended Odessa Elementary School (1st thru 6th) in Odessa, DE., St. Edmond's Academy (7th & 8th) & Salesianum High School in Wilmington, De. He attended College at Millersville State in Millersville, Pa. where he received his B.S. Degree & later attended the University of Delaware completing his Masters Degree.
      John (73) & Susan were married while they were both still attending College & first resided in an apartment in Lancaster, Pa. After graduation they moved to Middletown, De. on West Main Street as a result of John (73) being offered a Teaching position in the Appoquinimink School District, Middletown, DE. After their divorce Susan moved to Wilmington, De. where she later passed away due to cancer. John (73) & Susan did not have any children together.
      John (73) then met Tammy & after their marriage she moved into John's (73) home on West Main where they still reside. Tammy had two children previous to this marriage, Gary Lee & Christy Marie Ogden.
      John (73) is currently teaching in the Hodgson Vo-Tech School in Glasgow, DE. He is an active Historical Reenactor. As a Civil War Reenactor he has been in several movies, the latest being "Gettysburg" which is based on the book "Killer Angel's", where he portrays a member of General Robert E. Lee's Staff. (Robert E. Lee is played by Martin Sheen). Together John (73) & Tammy have two children who were both born in Kent General Hospital, Dover, DE.

      Russell "Russ" (74) was born the 2nd & last child & 2nd son of John Ernest, Jr. and Emma Virginia (Stout) Pickett (49) on October 29, 1951 in the Delaware Division Hospital in Wilmington, DE.   He was named after his maternal grandfather Russell Stout.   (See the "Stout Family History")
      "Russ" (74) has been married twice.   He first was married to "Diane Sue Collison" on November 6, 1971 in St. Luke's Methodist Church in Denton, MD.   Diane was born on December 30, 1952 in Milford, DE. & is the daughter of Albert Roland & Dorotha Lee (Stubbs) Collison of Greensboro, MD.   (See the "Collison Family History")   Separation of this marriage took place with Diane leaving on July 13, 1991 & was ended by divorce on May 21, 1992.   Diane & Russ (74) have two sons together, "Christopher" & "Ryan".
      Russ (74) then met and had a relationship with "Ruth Elizabeth Hardy" in September, 1991.   Together they had twin daughters, "Kayla Grace" & "Kara Virginia Pickett".   "Ruthie" was born on August 27, 1970 in Kent General Hospital, Dover, DE. the daughter of John Robert & Ruth Elizabeth (Dean) Hardy.   (See the "Hardy Family History")   "Ruthie" had one child by a previous marriage to Bradley McReynolds, Eric Adam McReynolds. Ruthie currently lives in rural Dover, De.
      In March, 1999 Russ (74) met and started a relationship with "Karen Lorraine (Hodge) Hanshaw" of Rochester, New York.   This relationship continued with their engagement on July 16, 1999 and on August 19, 2000 Karen and Russ (74) were married in the Hall of the Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company.   Karen was born the daughter of Leo & Nancy (Bishop) Hodge on March 25, 1959 in Rochester, New York.   Karen was previously married to Kevin Lynn Hanshaw and together they had two children, Kelli and Kyle.   Kelli is currently married to Jeremy Truax and they reside in Suffolk, Va.   (See the "Truax Family History")   Kyle lives with Russ (74) and his Mom.
      Russ (74) worked for the State of Delaware as a Computer Project Leader from 1969 through 2005 when he retired after 35 years of service.   He is now employed by "Pioneer Concrete" in Cheswold, De.   He also taught evening classes at the Groves Adult Education School in Woodside, De. for 10 years and was a Little League manager for 8 years.
      He is a life member of the "Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company".   He has served in multiple offices as a member of Cheswold.   Russ (74) is also currently the webmaster of multiple businesses and organization which can be viewed by "clicking here".   Karen is employed with Playtex Corportation and also is a beauty consultant with Mary Kay.   Russ (74) and Karen reside in rural Dover, DE. with three of their children, Kyle, Kayla & Kara.

      Amanda "Mandy", (77) was born the 1^st child & only daughter of Harry Jacob, III (60) & Patricia Edith (Pierson) Shepherd on July 24, 1970 in Doylestown, Pa. She married "Richard A. Armitage, Jr." on September 17, 1995 in Lambertville, Jr. Mandy is currently attending school in hopes of becoming a Chiropractor and Richard "Rick" is employed as an Electrical Contractor. Harry Jacob Shepherd, IV, (78)
      Harry "Toggle", (78) was born the 2^nd child & only son of Harry Jacob, III (60) & Patricia Edith (Pierson) Shepherd on May 9, 1972 in Doylestown, Pa. He married "Kelly Lynn Gower" on June 8, 1996. Kelly was born the daughter of Jeff and Jean Gower of Kunkletown, Pa. on June 14, 1972. Toggle (78) currently is serving in the U.S. Navy and they are stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. They currently don't have any children.

      Chris (94) was born the 1st child & 1st son of Russell Stout (74) and Diane Sue (Collison) Pickett on March 13, 1976 in the Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.    (See the "Pickett Family History")   Chris (94) attended Fairview Elementary (1st - 3rd), Towne Point Elementary (4th), William Henry Middle School (5th - 6th), Central Middle School (7th - 8th) & graduated from Dover High School in 1994. He is resides in rural Dover, Delaware.

      Ryan, (95) was born the 2nd child & 2nd son of Russell Stout (74) & Diane Sue (Collison) Pickett on February 3, 1979 in the Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.   Ryan (95) attended Towne Point Elementary (1st - 4th), William Henry Middle School (5th - 6th), Central Middle School (7th - 8th) and graduated from the Poly Technical High School in Woodside, DE. in 1997   Ryan (95) graduated from West Chester State University in West Chester, Pa. in the spring of 2002 with a degree in teaching.   In August, 2002 he started his teaching career at Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville, Delaware.
      While teaching at Woodbridge Ryan (95) met and became engaged to Tara Buemi.   On July 15, 2006 they were married at the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Georgetown, Delaware.   Tara was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Buemi and is also currently a teacher at Woodbridge High School.   She is a 1998 graduate of Sussex Central High School in Georgetown and a 2002 graduate of the University of Delaware.   Ryan (95) is currently teaching at "Lake Forest High School" and he & Tara are residing in rural Milford, De..
